the Clothes Speak for Themselves

I was highly anticipating the Marc Jacobs show since Fashion Week started but I have to admit I was really disappointed with it. Maybe I don't get it, maybe I'm not open minded enough? I didn't think much of anything that went down the runway was aesthetically beautiful or wearable. Creative? Yes. I know runway designs aren't meant to be taken literally but I think Marc's show took things a bit far. I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way. I know it's kind of like a fashionista sin to say something bad about Marc Jacobs, I love him.. but i don't love the collection!

What do you think of the Marc Jacobs S/S 2008 Collection?

  5. Hello! Sorry this really has nothing to do with the post, but being a fellow college freshman I had a question! How do you dress for class, and do you feel like the only person in lecture hall not decked out in the latest victoria secret sweats? It's hard being the only person in skinny jeans in a sea of sweats and I was just wondering if you had any thoughts on this.

    Have a lovely day :]

  6. haha i get teased in my classes sometimes bc im often the only one not wearing cheerleading shorts & baggy tshirts, or like you said v.s. sweats :)

Lately i've been wearing lots of sundresses with flats or heels if I don't have to walk too far. Always accesorized with a pair of sunglasses and a big purse to carry all my books around in.

  7. Marc by MJ was actually pretty good, and if you notice the Lego belts on some of the models, they are actually two friends of my boyfriend's creation. I think my favorite piece was the brown coat with the double gold buttons with the brown shorts worn with the little bright blue hat.

  8. um yea i couldnt agree with you more! i was anticipating it sooo much and it did leave me confused... soooo confused. i liked some of the sweaters and shoes, but all the dresses seemed like people were sewing them, not quite done and sent it out on the runway... i'll be curious to see how magazines interpret this one lol!
