Leavin' On A Jet Plane

I'm Leavin on a Jet Plane

Leavin on a Jet Plane by lapetitefashionista on Polyvore.com

As I spend my last day in town before my day of international traveling, everything is slowly starting to click. I'll soon be spending the next 6 weeks, exploring other countries, cultures, and taking in every experience I can. As I triple check I have the essentials packed & go get last minute travel sized products & magazines for the flight I can't help but be insanely excited!

Figuring out what to wear on the plane, especially a long flight is a common dilemma! Choose comfortable but stylish bottoms, like these trendy harem pants. A cardigan to throw over a lightweight tank is perfect for freezing plane air conditioning. A watch is a stylish & functional accessory to help you adjust to a new time zone! A pair of flat shoes can become a vital part of an outfit if you need to dash to make a connecting flight. A fashion magazine & a good playlist are all I need to entertain me onboard!

What are your carry-on essentials while traveling on a plane?

xoxo, Lauren

My handbag carry-on essentials:

- Carmex lip balm
- Pen to fill out customs forms!
- A book
- A cute holder for my passport and ticket :)
- Mobile phone + sim cards
- Anti-histamines (always get terrible allergies on the plane)

I also take a separate mini-suitcase in which I put:
- An extra top/pair of undies (just in case - I've gotten stranded in India for 24 hours with no clothes to change into so I like to be prepared!)
- Eyeliner (pretty much the only make-up you're allowed)
- Laptop

Hope you have a great flight! xx

they say "if u have to travel alone- travel in style."
i always try so hard to be stylish when i travel by plane- i never make it. somehow i end up carrying 2 bags. the first one fot the latptop, thus extremelly heavy, the secong one has the essentials in it;
1. 2-3 magazines. i always get carrier away at press shop
2. a book- in case i need to read sth really meaningfull
3. a sketchbook+ pens+pencils+coloured pens+coloured pencils- what if i get bored or anxious?
4. a huge scarf- it has to do with the quote above
5. any make up i can carry because i know that after 8 hours without sleep i look like hell-plus i'am afraid that all my luggage will get lost and i'll end up without compact powder in a foreign country
6. contact lenses, glasses. sunglasses, toothbrush, toothpaste

all these things above are concidered essentials- i am pretty convinced they r not- the outcome is always the same- when i arrive i am utterly exhausted having carried them around for all these hours

Carryon bag essentials - music, a good book, a pen, at least one day's worth of clothes (in case of lost luggage - I have a big carryon so I threw in a dress as well as a t-shirt, pants and underoos - can't be too careful!) and a headband/hair-tie. As far as beauty is concerned, Chapstick, one of those dry, pre-soaped/add water cleansing cloths - I was on the 8-hour overnight flight and it felt SO good to wash my face before we landed. Sunglasses! Also, a water bottle - get one in the airport once you're through security.

Have a great flight and enjoy your trip! I've been loving mine! (Though, less love for the school portion. I keep abandoning my essays in favour of travel...)

I love the clothes that you suggested as a travel outfit. Looks so comfy and at the same time is very trendy - especially the pants. I want them!

I have to wear easy shoes to slip on and off, and I have to have a Tory Burch tote. They are the perfect size for magazines, books, a lap top, and a pashmina.
