Do you love me, do you Surfer Girl?

Ever since I saw the boys of Proenza Schouler on a little fashion documentary called Seamless, I've had a major designer crush on Lazaro and Jack. Last year I got to listen to them speak at Teen Vogue Fashion U and fell a little bit more in love. I just relate to and adore all of their designs!

But this SS10 collection has topped them all for me. You all know I have an inner surfer girl, and this collection is exactly what she would wear! It's bohemian without being sloppy. Tie dye has been totally overdone, but this is a fresh take on it. Loving the bold use of color and youthful shapes to the garments! This is finally a collection that's really targeting the audience who loves their clothes!

I really love how they pull off boho without making their models look like they slept in a container! And I agree, the boys are so cute - how can you not have a crush on them? :)

Hey Lauren,

Thanks for the sweet comments. You have been officially added to my links. Vera is fantastic! I got a snarky comment where someone accused me of having hair extensions. People are so weird and mean sometimes so I have to moderate. This is the only hairstyle I know. I've had it since high school, haha. I would not know an extension if it slapped me in the face.

You are not the only one loving this collection - it's utterly amazing. For some reason I see Chloe Sevigny as their muse for this collection - it just looks like something she would wear. :)

I love Lazaro & Jack, and so jealous! That class filled up at Teen Vogue U when I decided to sign up for classes. I guess that's what I get for slacking. haha

I'm always happy to see neons and tie-dyes done in a more modern and sophisticated way than say, the sort of grimy, dated "american apparel" aesthetic...fun and clean can go hand in hand!
