LOFT: Holiday Fashion Fix

One of the most frustrating things about a winter wardrobe is that often a heavy jacket ends up covering what would have been a cute outfit. My holiday style tip is to choose a sweater, like this knit biker vest and pair it with a statement necklace to give it a festive flair.

LOFT is launching their newly redesigned e-commerce site full of stylish classics with a twist. Check out the site to fill all of your holiday needs from cozy sweaters to tailored trousers to trendy accessories. They've transformed their look to cater to a more fashion forward audience (that's you!).

In celebration of this & the holidays, LOFT is offering one lucky La Petite Fashionista reader a $100 gift card to the store!

To enter: leave a comment with your holiday style tip & visit LOFT's facebook page.

The contest ends Wednesday, December 23rd at 12 PM EST (open to US residents only)

xoxo, lauren

  2. FYI I think this is the best giveaway ever! My holiday style tip- don't wear anything too revealing to a family dinner. Sure, you look hot, but does your great uncle really need to see that? haha

  3. I don't have a Facebook account, but my holiday style tip is to always be a little over-dressed. Make sure you have a touch of sparkle in your makeup, with some jewelry, or shoes, and it makes Christmas fashion more magical. LOVE LOVE LOVE that knit biker jacket!!!

  4. I can't join the contest as well but I think this is awesome. My holiday style tip is to choose a sexy/fun/funky yet comfortable footwear, especially when attending a party where dancing is in order. You don't wanna have blisters the next day, do you?

  6. my holiday styling tip is that holiday parties are the best time to do a really really bold color lip and flushed cheeks. keep the eyes light though. its romantic and festive. glitter nail polish is also a do during the holidays!

i looooove loft - some of my favorite clothes are from there!

  7. I hate hate hate when I have to throw on a coat, the majority of a time it destroys the outfit!

  8. Ooh! My holiday styling tip: For after-work parties, bring a bold lipstick, statement earrings, clutch, and a pair of pumps to the office with you to transition your outfit from day to night.

  9. My holiday style tip is to find a piece that you can wear in different ways to wear to multiple parties. That way you get more for your money!

  11. Awesome giveaway! I love Loft! I would be so excited to win a $100 gift certificate!
My styling tip for this holiday season is probably wearing high waist skirts with bright statement colored tights. A few weeks ago I went to a holiday party and wore a black high waist skirt and bright purple Betsy Johnson tights. The tights were a really good conversation starter!

  15. Aw yay! definitely voted for you. And hmm my winter styling tips: boots. Simple, flat, riding books can make an outfit so chic and be completely comfortable and warm!

  16. My holiday styling tip: Embrace the accessories to vamp up something you already own. Something like an Ann Taylor Loft Long Chain Necklace or cuff can change an outfit with just one clasp! :) Accessories are more than just decorative elements to an outfit, they can make it or break it! :) Happy Holidays and I voted for you! :)

  17. Lovely blog :)

I really like the sweater/necklace idea because I too hate the way coats seem to cover everything up! I also believe a good variety of scarves and hats looks really good too.

I'd say my holiday style tip would be to wear comfortable clothes or ones with elastic waistbands, if you can make 'em look good. I don't know about everyone else, but I sure like to eat my fill during the holidays~

  20. I voted for you!

My holiday style tip is to pick one statement to display in your outfit. For ex, if your NYE dress is silver sequins, don't wear sparkly shoes with blinged out jewelry. For a more classy look, I would pair black leather pumps and a small delicate charm necklace and stud earrings to complete the look. Keep it simple.

  25. Great giveaway! Style tip - if you can't wear sparkles and sequins during the holidays, when can you? Definitely experiment with something fun and exuberant.

  26. My style tip: Always wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable in your skin -- that you don't have to think about. You don't want to be distracted by your outfit all evening.

    Awesome giveaway!

  27. I have a little black dress that I wear every year around the holidays because it's classic and I can dress it up with accessories. It's amazing what a chunky necklace or bold heels can do! I'd love to be able to buy more accessories at AT Loft :)

  28. I can't relly think of a good tip but I say always wear a nice pair of heels. I'm assuming most would be sitting down most of the time so your feet won't end up hurting afterwards and you get compliments!

  30. My holiday style tip is to use accessories to add holiday flare, like a purse or sparkly scarf. That way your clothes can be worn year round and you only have to change the accessories.

  31. Voted! I always use the leftover ribbon and bows from presents on Christmas Day, and wear them in my hair! There is nothing like a festive bow to spice things up a bit!

  34. My favorite tip for holiday white is to look for a cream white, rather than crisp white. It's the difference between a summer look and a softer winter look that in the evening looks a little "golden" and more shimmery :)

and my favorite styling tip is in the words of Coco Chanel: Always remove one item you have on and it will be perfect! (i know, of course not exact words, but words to live by nonetheless!)

  36. My style tip is to go in something that makes you feel good not necessarily what others think. When you feel good about yourself, you carry yourself better and your confidence shows through!

    ReplyDelete
  37. My holiday style tip is to wear a bit more sparkle and shimmer than you usually would. Don't go too overboard, but just pumping it up a little really makes a difference. Plus, sparkles and sequins shimmer beautifully with all the holiday lights and decorations. :-)

    Merry Christmas,

  38. My holiday (and all year) style tip is to always have just one focal point in your outfit. For example, if you're wearing one pattern, don't put on another. If you're going to wear wild-colored boots let them be the stand-out piece. People will notice you for the right reasons.

  39. My holiday style type for petite fashionistas is to be monochromatic! Wearing one color from head to toe is not only chic but also very elongating! Then add punches of color with jewelry or a scarf!

  40. Whenin doubt wear a belt. It will update anything.

  41. My holiday tip is to dress conservatively at church. Put a jacket over that great dress and you will earn more respect and attention with your modesty.

  42. I voted for you before the cutoff date! That said, my style tip would be to keep it simple. Too many accessories and you look like you are trying too hard. A black shirt, simple chain necklace and some dangle earrings make a great statement.
