The [Garnet &] Golden Years

Today was the start of college football season at Florida State. Like I said in one of my previous posts, I'm a HUGE football fan; the game, the tailgating, the school spirit. For example for today's noon game, I turned the fight song on full blast so it echoed throughout the apartment (and probably street, whoops!) and gave my roomies a wake up call. Sleep is overrated anyways right?
Having a cute school spirited outfit for game day is oh-so-important (especially in the south). I picked up this dress from Victoria's Secret Pink's Collegiate Collection. They really are the perfect combination of feminimity, fashion, and football (you can't see but it has a heart & seminole head logo on the back)
I've been trying to cherish every minute of my senior year of college! It's so surreal yet exciting to think I'll be out in the real world in 5 short months. For now, I'm just going to have to enjoy every adventure before graduation!

Any advice for me in my last year of college?

xoxo, Lauren

I love going to sports games as well. The atmosphere is amazing! I love what you wore as well. That reminds me that I need to start wearing my cowboy boots more as well.

Ahh, good luck for your final year. Definitely make the most of it. Remember to have fun as well as work hard. Once you're out in the real world, you won't be able to hang out with your friends, like you can at University.

So happy you got to spend some time in Madison and loved it! It really is a surprisingly fantastic city. I'm a senior at UW this year so my time here is nearing its end, but I wouldn't be shocked to find myself back in the midwest after a couple years of big city adventures.

Your game day outfit is adorable! Our first game is next weekend so my ensemble is still in the works.

Lauren you are so cute! I love your outfit - I love the way you've mixed femininity with football :)

I've just finished my last year of education and I'm SO scared about entering the real world!!

I'm so with you!
My dad works in the Athletic Department at OSU so I kind of HAVE to love football, but it's still a great season. Soo much fun! (Let's Go Buckeyes!)
I love your game day outfit. Your boots are awesome.

Wow there are so many people there!! Hmm my advice for your final year: spend it making memories. Be sure to spend as much time as possible just soaking up the university atmosphere, and with friends. It can be hard to do since you'll probably also be busy with a bunch of schoolwork, but making that effort to have fun will be worth it.

What's your Fall Fashion Frenzy? Tell me & you could win a $100 gift card from ShopBop!

One of the things I don't like about living in New Zealand is that we completely fail on the school spirit department. Games are a non-event.

You look very cute though, I imagine you would have fit right in in those colours by the looks of things :p

Cute Polaroids too! xo

Cute outfit!! I loved going to those games in high school.. don't understand the game of (American) football whatsoever, it was more of just a social event with a fun vibe. xo

Enjoy your senior year (wow I'm just a freshman!)!!! That's the one downer about my college--no football team!

Live it up. Don't let the studying get in the way of the fun! Despite getting up at 8am during intern block, go out! You're already packing a full senior year into 9 months so live them up while you can! Move somewhere fabulous for internship and COME back for graduation! It's the last time everyone will be together!

Aw you look adorable and the game looks like a lot of fun! Making memories with friends is important, but this will also be your last year of school so you don't want to blow all those previous years of hard work by slacking this year. Balance studying with socializing and job searching and you'll be just fine. :-)
