Inspired by: Vintage Beach Photography

Vintage photos are often my best inspiration when it comes to fashion. This beach photography from the 50's/60' is so inspiring. I love the striped boat neck tees, curly bobbed hair, polka dot motifs, and one piece maillots & swim skirts

Looking through all of these photos can't help but remind me of Seaside, FL one of my favorite places on earth. It's a beautiful beach community designed to have a perfectly fifties feel, from open-air shopping plazas, to big striped sun umbrellas to watercolor beachhouses.

  13. *insert 50s summertime guitar music here*

The beach is one of the places where we can say that vintage never fails. The beach and the vintage atmosphere are a perfect match! From the ladies, to their outfits, to the beachside itself, all of it is inspiring. And the pics that you got here from FL indeed have that feel. Woohoo!

  14. Do you happen to know where the third image (pale rocky beach with umbrellas came from? I would love to have a huge copy of this but I wonder if the image is copyrighted. Looks like Slim Aarons. Please let me know if you have any info on this. Many thanks, and I love your blog!
