Making a Statement

One of the fashion rule I live by, is trying to wear statement pieces whenever possible. In order to make super trendy looks accessible for us everyday fashionistas, sometimes all it takes is throwing on a bold earring, colorful pant, or a layer of funky nail polish. It's all about making the unique pieces stand out among an otherwise basic outfit and adding a dose of the unexpected!
These are some of my favorite statement pieces from beaded clutches to rock candy cocktail rings.
Statement Pieces
These are some of my favorite examples of very wearable looks that still make a statement:
An aztec necklace paired w/ basic tee
Colorful pants or a leather vest via ELLE
Would you look at those boots?! via Mode Junkie
More coloful pants & a sequined bag to top it off!
The queen of statement pieces, Blair of Atlantic-Pacific
Fuchsia lips & quirky sunglasses.

Do you have a go to statement piece that you wear to liven up any outfit?

I love that a great statement piece can do the simplest of outfits. A statement necklace or shoes - love those boots you featured above, amazing! - can dress up a casual outfit and turn it into something very unqiue. I think it's a great trend. Thanks so much for sharing! Really love the blog!

I don't really have a statement piece, but I do love to add some red lipstick to brighten up an outfit! my wardrobe needs to be a bit more exciting.

I have been searching for the perfect colored pant for awhile! I would love to rock some pink pants :) And that gold sequined clutch is amazing! Any idea where it is from?

I LOVE statement pieces! My style is more practical/laid back (I live in skinny jeans and boyfriend cardigans), so I've been going to some type of a statement piece to just add a little something unexpected and to keep it from being dull :) These looks are (as always) incredibly inspiring! You have such a good eye for looks that are totally on trend, and yet easy to replicate :)
(P.S. Yay for a new boyfriend! So happy to hear that you have so many amazing things going on in your life right now, girl - you deserve them all!).
