I am off to the northwoods to spend the 4th of July weekend with loved ones! I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone and all of our traditions like the small town 4th of July parade, followed by a big ol' slice of pie, and waterskiing on the lake.
These things all remind me of being an American; the stars & stripes, summers on the lake, fireworks, those who proudly serve our country, and all the red. white & blue dishes we can dream up. Living in the Midwest now, I definitely have an appreciation for America's heartland.
