Try This Trend: It's Good to be Plaid

Nothing says fall to me like plaid & tartan.  It's timeless, cozy, and about as iconic to the start of fall as the pumpkin spice latte! I love the look of a plaid skirt paired back to a chambray top, shirtdress paired with leather ankle boots & amping up the style factor of a baseball cap in a plaid pattern.

I've rounded up my favorite plaid picks for fall in every shape & silhouette

Try This Trend: Plaid

Shop the Post:
Plaid Top: Nordstrom | Tartan Scarf: Ralph Lauren | Plaid Skirt: JOA | Cosmetic Bag: Forever 21
Plaid Hat: Hat Attack | Plaid Shirtdress: BB Dakota | Plaid Boyfriend Shirt: Madewell

It's good to be plaid! I'm on the hunt for the perfect plaid blanket scarf, so I'm so glad to have stumbled upon the one featured in this post! Also loving that shirt dress- so fabulous.

La Petite Fashionista: Plaid Shirt + Pink Lips

What I'm Wearing:
Plaid Shirt:  Dandy Lion Boutique  (similar) | Lipstick: "Pop Art Pink" Kate Spade - Nordstrom Rack

I personally adore plaid when paired back to a bold lipstick shade, like I've done below with this new raspberry shade from Kate Spade ($7 at Nordstrom Rack)! It's funny, I never thought of myself as a lipstick person, but I love love love the look of it. I've been building my collection!

What is your favorite way to wear plaid?

xoxo, lauren

I am totally loving the plaid trend this fall! I love your picks - especially that pencil skirt. I've been looking for one to pair with graphic tees and heels...this one may be it! :)

Plaid is definitely popular here in Colorado! But more of in a mountain man sort of fashion. Love yours with the "bling" on it. Definitely make plaid more feminine and appealing to wear!

I'm such a plaid girl. It's becoming a problem when I have one in every color!

I love wearing plaid. Plaid shirts are my go-to for the autumn.
